This is a k-type thermocouple wire with yellow vinyl PVC insulation, which is good up to about 105

F. The temperature limit is for the insulation, it starts to soften. The wire itself can measure the full K-type temperature range, and when you use it as a extension wire it can be used with high temperature ceramic thermocouple sensors up to 2500 degree Fahrenheit or with any other K-type thermocouple.
This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own thermocouples for a wide range of applications, or to make your own extension wire. The chromel alumel wire is made to standard thermocouple specifications. This is a stranded wire with 7 filaments, it is more flexible than a solid wire and therefore especially useful for k-type extension wires. It is sold in 10 yard increments, so if you order 2 units of this, you will receive a single 20 yard long wire.
