This is a reliable wire thermocouple TC-1 with a K-Type sensor. The sensor is at the tip of a 3ft long wire probe, which has a green plastic coating. This Teflon based insulation is easier to clean than fiber glass insulation. It has a miniature k-type connector that will work with digital K-type thermometers from many manufacturers (see
my ebay store
for a good selection).
This uses very thin k-type sensor wire, the wire diameter is approximately AWG 29 (0.011 inch or 0.28 mm), this will give you very quick readings.
This probe can used to measure air or gas temperatures, it can be attached to pipes or embedded into objects you want to measure. It also can be used in non-corrosive liquids, such as water that does not have much salt or acid in it.

This thermocouple TC-1 will read very low temperatures, if you have a suitable thermometer. I have tested this down to -350°F (-210°C) with my thermometer DT1311 and DT1312. The Nicety DT804 and DT804A only measure to -58°F.
