This is a vintage Mickey Mouse theme wood musical jewelry box in need of repair. The musical devise no longer works. The blue pad on the top is made to turn to start music box. I think the when the draw opens it is suppose to trigger the music to play. The rotating top features painted wood figures of Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Pluto and Baby Mickey characters. This item measures 10" x 7" x 7" tall. The figures are 3 3/4" tall each and they sit on blue pad 4 3/4" diameter. The colors are red, blue, yellow, white and black. Mickey's tail and Pluto's ears are leather. They are in good order and intact. There is minor paint wear as would be expected of a vintage item ( Pluto's nose, the ends of red knobs on drawer, the edge of rotating blue pad, the red bow on Minnie and corner of box). The flaws are minor, but I want to point out. The bottom is marked by maker, " Walt Disney Productions Made in Japan, Box made in Japan". Looks nice but does not play music. I can see the music box when I take out the drawer...see my photo where I showed this. It is small music box and may be replaceable. The pad on top still turns but the music is distorted.
