and a standard, round prong female connector. They conform to the K-Type Thermocouple Extension Wire specification. This means the metal prongs and the wire are made from compensating metal, the same material as the k-type thermocouple wire, which is chromel / alumel. This keeps the impact of the extension wire on the temperature reading minimal.
This extension wire is intended for industrial applications and built very rugged. The wire has high quality nylon connectors, the wire is fiberglass insulated and has a stainless steel over-braid for protection. The thermocouple plugs have a brass strain relieve.
