  • Condition: The darning mushroom is used but soundly attached to its handle; one can see the edge of cloth the previous owner used to make the handle fit into the head. There is no wobbling. The 3 cards of yarn (2 Chadwick's, 1 Clark's) appear unused; it's impossible to see if they have less than the 30 yards each advertises, and we have restrained ourselves from pulling the yarn from the cards to measure each.

    3 Cards of Mending Yarn - Chadwick's &
    Clark's
    This is a mixed lot of sewing items as indicated in the heading (above in red).  All items appear to be in good condition.  The darning mushroom has no cracks or gouges; the Dritz zipper repair (dated 1965 on the back of the unopened packet) is new-old-stock; and the three cards of mending wool yarn are in good condition with no obvious indication that they have been used.  The two Chadwick's cards state on their backs that they are from England.  The Clark's card still has the price label on it; it says it is from Donaldson's (Twin Cities) and cost 5¢.
    The darning mushroom measures approximately:
    4 1/2" long
    2 1/4" wide
    The round end is about 1" high
    The mending yarn packets are about 4.5" long
    The Dritz zipper repair package is about 5" long
