Description

Here's a presser foot for your vintage low shank Singer which is hard to find and fun to have!
According to Singer's 1950 textbook for teachers,
Machine Sewing
, this attachment "is very useful for braiding designs, where the stitching should not show."  This foot is stamped with the
part number 121614
and "SIMANCO U.S.A." on the inside of the shank.  This is one of 3 sizes Singer produced, and 5/32 is stamped on the outside of the shank.  This is the largest of the 3 originally available, but is slightly easier to find than the 3/32 or 1/8 foot.
This fits all Singer low shank, side-attaching models, including class 15, most 66s, 99, 201, and many others, as well as the beloved Featherweights, Models 221 and 222.
This attachment is in
GOOD TO VERY GOOD
used condition, with few signs of use or age.  It has lots of soft shine, a couple of minor dings, and clear ID stampings - the tiny screw on the front turns as needed.  In addition to the foot, the winning bidder will receive a copy of the partial page from Singer's book
Machine Sewing
which gives the basic instructions for beginning to put your "new" attachment to work right away.
