Since there are no other printing date editions mentioned inside the cover, I believe this would be a First edition in pictorial boards covers and paper pages inside.. Publisher: Whitman Publishing, Racine, 1948. Binding in very good plus condition. Contents clean. Says Happy Birthday Ralph from Carol inside the cover in nice ink handwriting. . Black, white and orange illustrations. 5 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. 96 pages.  A tiny bend in the back cover lower edge and some rubbing on the red surface that looks white from sliding around on a table or drawer.  A picture of Mickey and Donald Duck on the back.  number 845.
